About US
Il Calàscione and its Trulli date back to the early 1900’s, when my grandparents moved there just got married.
The recent and complete renovation, according to the art of “trullari”, wise and rare masters in the recovery of these houses, emphasizes the particularity of the typical structure, where you can appreciate the meticulously polished stone and exploit the natural freshness that this gives to the indoor environment.
Finally, the feminine touch of the landlady Rosangela, who was able to furnish our villas with style and simplicity, providing our guests all the necessary amenities.
Il Calàscione is situated in Locorotondo, the City of the White Wine, in the heart of the Valle d’Itria, and is immersed in the charming and peaceful countryside surrounding one of the Borghi più Belli d’Italia.
Our Villas
Villa L’Olivo
L’Olivo was the first of our Villas to be completed. An automated gate opens the doors of this villa through the driveway, two covered parking spaces are reserved for you.
The apartment has two double bedrooms (one can be equipped with two single beds) and the space available is sufficient to add an extra bed or a cot to suit your needs. The bathroom has a shower and bath; fluffy towels and bathrobes are at your disposal.
The beautiful custom built kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare fabulous dinners with products you can buy in thelocal artisans shops. A beautiful fireplace to warm the cooler evenings and a relaxing lounge complete the inside of these Trulli; after a day at the beach or around the beautiful villages of the area, there is nothing left to lock yourself at home and enjoy the peace of Il Calàscione.
The veranda is equipped with a big umbrella for sun protection and a table for your summer meals. The wood oven will be useful for cooking meats typical of the area in a more traditional way. On the back of the house, hidden just to ensure all the privacy you want, a lovely verdant garden to enjoy the fresh summer nights. Lie on your deck or shimmy on my favorite chair as a child and don’t worry about anything: the olive trees and the wind will do the rest…

Villa Il Maresciallo
Il Maresciallo is the biggest villa at Il Calàscione. A private and automated gate and covered parking spaces welcome you to this corner of beauty.
From the veranda which is the best to dine al fresco or sunbath in total relaxation, you enter the living area; a fully fitted kitchen, wooden tableand some very special rarities sought by the landlady Rosangela give the feeling of being “at home”. Through one of the stone arches typical of the Trulli, we get into the living room where you can comfortably read a book or take a nap in the comfortable armchairs.
A door separates the living area from the sleeping area: here we find a double bedroom and a single bedroom, the third room, with king size bed, is situated just to the left of the main entrance.
The bathroom is generously sized and is equipped with stone shower, whirlpool tub and double sink; according to our standards, fluffy towelsand bathrobes are at your disposal.
A garden surrounded by hedges and completely green awaits to pamper you just in front of the house door…
